£48,597.69 - £50,682.81 per year inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £2,397 per annum.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced or aspiring Team Leader to join our professional and friendly team at Environmental Health within Infrastructure Services.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can inspire and lead their team to deliver customer focussed and efficient delivery of the service plan, service improvement and outcomes and be responsible for delivery of services in accordance with the Council’s values, objectives, targets and statutory obligations.

As the successful candidate, you will manage the delivery of the Environmental Health Service, undertake regulatory and enforcement activity under legislation relating to food safety and standards, health and safety at work, housing, pollution control, animal health and welfare, public health and licensing.

As successful candidate you’ll have:

  • Excellent organisational skills and be a clear and effective communicator. A high level of personal motivation and ability to motivate others. Knowledge of best practice and relevant legislation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to relate to a range of audiences.
  • Experience of project management and delivery.
  • Knowledge of best practice and relevant legislation.
  • A degree or Diploma in Environmental Health and full membership of either the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland or Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
