We have an exciting opportunity for two highly motivated Officers, who enjoy a challenge, to join our high performing regulatory services team.
Senior Regulatory Officer – Health and Safety
This is an opportunity play a key role in a range of regulatory and advisory activities to achieve compliance with health & safety legislation. Your skills in communication will aide you in achieving high quality customer-focused service delivery and positive public health outcomes, acting as a resource of experience, knowledge, and expertise in this area. Ideally you will have experience of enforcing health and safety legislation, or you may have industry experience in managing health and safety in the workplace. You will carry out interventions, investigate complaints and accidents as well as work in other areas i.e., public health (infectious diseases, private water supplies) and provide business advice. Applications from candidates who have experience working in corporate Health and Safety both in the private and public sector are very welcome.
Regulatory Officer – Food Safety
This is your opportunity as a qualified food officer to play a key role in a range of regulatory and advisory activities to achieve compliance with food and health & safety legislation. Your skills in communication will aide you in achieving high quality customer-focused service delivery and positive public health outcomes, acting as a resource of experience, knowledge, and expertise in one or more specialist areas. You will have experience of enforcing food safety legislation and ideally experience of enforcing health and safety legislation though this is not essential. You will carry out interventions, investigate complaints and infectious diseases, and provide business advice.
The service is developing commercial services and has several Primary Authority arrangements in place with national businesses. This role is also an exciting opportunity to engage with both existing Primary Authority partnerships and work with future clients. The role requires excellent communication and team working skills and a flexible solution focussed approach.
Both posts are based in Peterborough, though you will also work closely with colleagues based in Oakham, Rutland. The diverse demographic and geographic nature of the area covered by the service makes it an ideal ground for the professional development of any officer.
