Senior Housing Enforcement Officer
Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire

Three Rivers District in South West Hertfordshire straddles the north west corner of the M25 on the edge of Greater London. The district is a mixture of beautiful countryside, villages and small towns. The area has a diverse range of sectors and businesses and is a centre for the film industry with Warner Brothers at Leavesden forming part of a studio cluster along with Elstree and Pinewood a short drive away.

The Role:

The post holder will work within Three Rivers Housing Services and report directly to the Strategic Housing Manager. The post holder will be the lead officer responsible for the day-to-day casework of the Residential Environmental Health team. The post holder will lead on inspections, investigations and advice given in relation to the statutory housing enforcement functions and other work areas of the Residential Environmental Health department.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, resilient and driven individual with highly effective communication skills, the ability to adapt to changing priorities and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will hold a degree/diploma in Environmental Health and have significant experience in the field, specifically in nuisance investigation, Houses of Multiple Occupation and private sector housing standards. This candidate will be capable of providing both specialist knowledge and delivering resolution focused outcomes for our residents. The successful candidate will have a Certificate of Registration with the Environmental Health Officers Registration Board (EHORB) or achieved Chartered Status.
