Environmental Health Housing Officer

Our local authority client based in Oxfordshire have an excellent opportunity for contractors who are looking for long term contracts. They have recently implemented their city wide Selective Licensing Scheme and therefore require two experienced Environmental Health Officers to join their Enforcement team. The role is demanding and so will require you to take personal responsibility for a wide and varied caseload and perform with a high level of professionalism and in return we will give you the opportunity to be part of a varied role that will include partnering other services, carrying out investigations and carrying out property inspections whilst being given the opportunity to develop working alongside our experienced officers and management teams.

Both roles require qualified officers and it is essential that you have Experience of a wide range of enforcement of relevant environmental health legislation. Please note, at the very minimum you must hold the HHSRS certificate and have worked within this field in a local authority setting for at least 5 years.

Our client has 2 positions available, one at 30 hours per week and the other 37 hours per week. They are flexible, hours can be spread throughout the week i.e 37 hours over 4 long days and 30 hours over 3-5 days. They are also willing to consider part time hours essentially splitting the full time post with two contractors. The role will involve you being on site but home working will also be available. Rates will be up to £40 per hour.
