Food & Safety Team Leader - EH0156

Grade 8 - £43,571 to £48,645 per annum

We are seeking a highly experienced, motivated and results driven individual to lead the Food & Safety team and deliver quality services to our residents and businesses. Possessing an extensive knowledge of the relevant legislation, codes of practice and guidance, you will ensure that the council undertakes and meets all relevant and associated obligations within food safety, health & safety and infectious disease control.

 

 

You will need a qualification in Environmental Health and in particular detailed knowledge and experience in the field of food safety in order to fulfil the Lead Food Officer role for the authority. Ideally you will also have experience in a supervisory role.

 

You should be committed to delivering excellent customer service and building and maintaining effective relationships with officers, members and other key stakeholders and partners to resolve problems effectively. Excellent communication, negotiation and mediation skills are essential. 

 

You will be able to demonstrate a track record of dealing with complex cases, contributing to business process improvement, and leading by example.
