Our London client is recruiting either an EHO or a Qualified Health and Safety professional skilled in health & safety on an interim basis to deliver reactive investigations (complaints and RIDDOR)


Rate: £30+ per hour

Duration: 5 months

Hours 36 per week



Develop, implement and enforce environmental health policies to maintain and safeguard standards relating to people's health and well-being

Carry out routine or unplanned visits and inspections to ensure compliance with legislation and taking action to improve conditions, taking photos, producing drawings, removing samples, and conducting interviews as part of the inspection process

Investigate complaints from the general public and provide advice and assistance to householders and businesses

Taking enforcement action, initiating legal proceedings, preparing and giving evidence in court

You will be required to undertake consistent, proportionate, targeted, accountable and transparent enforcement action, in accordance with best practice advice and guidance and enforcement policies, to resolve any identified non-compliances. This may include preparing and serving statutory notices, simple cautions and other legal documents.

Experience and Qualifications


EHO qualified to EHORB level or Recognised qualification in Health and Safety (NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)).

Experience in interpreting and implementing health and safety legislation and good practice in a commercial setting.

Experience in enforcing health and safety regulations with an enforcing authority.
