Permanent, full-time, 37 hours per week

The roles;

  • Compliance Officer - starting salary is £26,446pa rising to £28,226pa on first anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time)
  • Regulatory Compliance Officer - starting salary is £30,095pa rising to £31,895pa on first anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time)
  • Environmental Health Officer - starting salary is £34,373pa rising to £36,371pa on first anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time) Note - the Council welcomes applications from those who have recently completed a recognised Environmental Health degree or equivalent, and those who are close to the completion of their qualification.

We are looking for Housing Professionals to join our Safer Housing Department in our Selective Licensing and Proactive Teams. We are recruiting to various roles which reflect experience and expertise, allowing experienced officers to exercise their skills, and those who are nearly or newly qualified, or those joining with transferable skills, the ability to learn and develop within the roles.

A large proportion of our work involves carrying out inspections to ensure that legal standards are met, and, tackling poor conditions and unsatisfactory management in licensed and unlicensed properties within the private rented sector.

With significant housing licensing schemes operating in Nottingham, we need enthusiastic and self-motivated officers to help deliver our highly ambitious aims. You will work alongside colleagues to engage positively with landlords and help tackle rogue and criminal landlords and support project work.
