Private Rented Sector Property Licensing Team Manager

The Royal Borough of Greenwich has appointed Osborne Richardson to support the recruitment to a range of qualified Environmental Health posts within the Directorate of Housing & Safer Communities.

Due to this wea re looking for a Private Rented Sector Property Licensing Team Manager to be responsible for management of a team comprised of Environmental Health Officers, Technical Officers and Licence Processing Support, and other staff as allocated within the Residential areas of work, and for carrying out the full range of functions undertaken within the team.

A key aspect of this role will be a focus on the licensing of private rented property and the post holder will be an exemplar of professional best practice and demonstrate high productivity in their area of responsibility.

You will be responsible for the management, direction and development of a team of staff, including determining and setting priorities, analysing changes in patterns of workload, and allocating work accordingly, setting and ensuring the achievement of, standards of performance in conformity with relevant legislation and Council and departmental policy as well as monitoring the performance of staff within the team, reviewing the allocation of staff in order to optimise the use of staff resources and improving service delivery.

The apply for this role it is crucial that you have experience manager an Environmental Health Team within a Local Authority and you must possess a relevant qualification, and member of a relevant professional recognised body (Example. Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, Chartered Institute of Housing).
