Job Details
Plymouth is an exciting vibrant waterfront city with access to areas of outstanding natural beauty.
The Environmental Protection team has a vacancy for an Environmental Health Officer.
The team is busy, with high workloads but is rewarding in that it makes a positive contribution to the local environment.
We have three operational teams within Environmental Protection with an EHO leading each team in the areas of air quality/permits, waste investigations and animal licensing.
The work involves being responsible for Environmental Protection functions, including statutory nuisance and noise, responding to planning applications, and other public health issues in a geographical area of the city, and supporting other staff in the team in delivering timely investigations.
We are specifically looking for an EHO to work in animal licensing as their specialist area. Although experience is desirable, support and training can be provided to the right candidate if they meet the essential qualifications.
To apply for this post you will need to be a qualified Environmental Health Officer, with a relevant Degree or Masters in Environmental Health.
For an informal discussion relating to the post please contact Nicola Horne on 01752 304556 or Lindsay McClean on 01752 304112.
