FOOD SAFETY OFFICER/ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICER (COMMERCIAL)

£30,984 - £40,578 p.a. plus benefits package

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Commercial team. We are looking for a professionally qualified and skilled officer who is competent, confident, enthusiastic and highly motivated to fill the post of Food Safety Officer or Environmental Health Officer. You will be part of a small team of officers to deliver a range of activities which fulfil the Council’s statutory food and Health and Safety function. We are looking for candidates with at least 3 years relevant professional experience with at least 2 years of proven knowledge and experience of working in food safety and health and safety inspection and enforcement, in a local authority setting. You will hold a degree or equivalent in Environmental Health or a Higher Certificate in Food Control, and be EHRB Registered. You will also need to meet the competency requirements for an officer at this level as detailed within the Food Standards Agency Code of Practice. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
