Environmental Health Officer /Health and Safety professional

Our client based in Central London is recruiting either an EHO or a Qualified Health and Safety professional skilled in health & safety on a long term contract.

Rate: £30 - £40 per hour

Duration: 6 months rolling

You will be asked to investigate general public complaints including; Public safety regulatory responsibilities of major events, entertainment venues, public spaces and exhibitions licensing, RIDDOR investigations, and lift report notifications.

You will be required to undertake consistent, proportionate, targeted, accountable and transparent enforcement action, in accordance with best practice advice and guidance and enforcement policies, to resolve

any identified non-compliances. This may include preparing and serving statutory notices, simple cautions and other legal documents.

Experience and Qualifications

1. EHO qualified to EHORB level or Recognised qualification in Health and Safety (NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)).
2. Experience in interpreting and implementing health and safety legislation and good practice in a commercial setting.
3. Experience in enforcing health and safety regulations with an enforcing authority.
