We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic, motivated person to join our Community Health Service. This is a great opportunity for a team player to make a real difference to protecting public health and improving the wellbeing of the residents of Mendip.
You will be required to inspect, raise awareness and enforce Environmental Health & Licensing legislation in all premises as necessary, but in particular undertake programmed food hygiene, health & safety and public safety inspections and investigations. You will need to be empathetic and supportive but also demonstrate a robust approach to enforcement when required. You will be a clear and accurate record keeper and use your knowledge and intuition to influence ensuring compliance.
You must:
- Compliant as Authorised Officer as defined by FSA Code of Practice Competency Framework with recent food hygiene experience
- Have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- Be able to deliver high quality customer service
- Be confident in working with businesses, partners and colleagues
- Be a confident team player
