Environmental Health Officer – Neighbourhood Team (Environmental Health)

Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week

Grade 8 i.e £32,798 - £36,371 per annum

Bassetlaw in North Nottinghamshire is home for 117,000 residents and benefits from excellent road and rail connections. The district is blessed with a varied landscape including over 10,000 hectares of woodland, many picturesque villages and three larger towns which provide an enviable choice of lifestyles.

Due to the retirement of key personnel we are looking to recruit an Environmental Health Officer to the Neighbourhood Team within Bassetlaw District Council’s Environmental Health Team.

This role will primarily be responsible for investigating general neighbourhood team complaints relating to a wide range of topics including noise, bonfires, artificial light, odour, flytipping and littering.

Duties range from initial contact with complainants, through to investigation and service of notices and enforcement action where necessary.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Julian Proudman Neighbourhood Team Leader on 01909 533533.

We will value your contributions, give you access to free healthcare cash plan and benefits, offer a very generous 25-31 days holidays package (rising incrementally each year and exclusive of public bank holidays) and give you the option to purchase additional annual leave days tax-free. We will double your monthly pension contributions and provide the option to join our shared cost AVC scheme, and family friendly policies.

To request an application pack, please visit or telephone the HR Team on (01909) 533121. Please quote job reference NBH0198P on the application form and within all correspondence.

Closing Date:            Monday 11th July 2022

Interview:                   Monday 25th July 2022
