Blackpool is the UK’s top seaside resort, famous for its tower, rollercoasters, golden sands and family entertainment. It has breath-taking countryside on its doorstep and is just an hour away from the city life of Manchester and the beauty of the Lake District.

Blackpool is well into a period of transformation. The Council is continuing to work hard to create a better, more attractive place to live, work and visit. We will benefit from improvements to the Promenade, better public transport, modernised streets, an extended shopping centre, a 21st century state-of-the-art conference centre, a range of new high quality hotels and many more places to eat, drink, and be entertained.

We want the right people to join our busy Public Protection team and make a real difference to the lives of our residents and visitors. We have a range of exciting opportunities available in Food Control and Health & Safety Enforcement.

With a range of businesses and industry within the town this is the perfect career opportunity for you to gain valuable experience in a wide range of enforcement actions and enhance your professional and personal development. You will receive support, training and supervision as required.
