Why work for South Staffordshire Council

South Staffordshire is a diverse district, made up of a collection of large and small villages, each with its own distinctive character set in an attractive semi-rural area on the western edge of the West Midlands conurbation.  Around 80% of the district is Green Belt and we are also home to some major employers such as Jaguar Land Rover and Moog Aerospace.

We are an exciting and award-winning IESE UK Council of the Year 2022, that has lots to offer.  We support agile ways of working and flexible working patterns.  Employees can benefit from an excellent flexi scheme with up to 24 days per year. Our main offices in Codsall have undergone major refurbishment work and is now a real modern community hub with partner organisations, local businesses, library, doctors’ surgery, and cafe all in one central location.

Our friendly team is relatively small, and this along with the diverse nature of the district will give you scope to broaden your experience.  Your enthusiasm and motivation will be rewarded with opportunities to initiate and become involved in exciting projects and work with partners to make a real difference in South Staffordshire.
