Job Details
Our client, based in the East Midlands are looking to appoint an experienced Environmental Protection Officer who is able to investigate, assess and act upon complex issues relating to pollution, Noise and nuisance issues and determine the most appropriate course of action Competency, Competency in noise related work would be an advantage. To provide technical evidence in court proceedings, tribunals and Public Inquiries and to provide customers with advice on minimising pollution, in particular noise.
This role does require you to have experience of working within a local authority setting and have a minimum of 2 years experience. They have quite a high workload and therefore do need someone who can hit the ground running and not require training.
You would need to be able You would need to be available to travel to sites at short notice: if you have notice of a pollution incident or something, but apart from that they can plan their own day, work from home if you aren't in the office or out on site etc. Initially you would need to be in the office a fair bit for training on the systems etc.
Client can offer a 6 month contract £40 per hour Umbrella and there is some working from home available while not on site. This is available a full time role.
