Location: Moresby Parks, Whitehaven, Cumbria

Are you interested in making a difference to your Community? Are you self-motivated and have an adaptable, flexible approach and keen to develop? If YES, then we have an exciting opportunity to join our team.

You will investigate environmental health and community safety complaints and undertake revisits to assess compliance with advice and notices.  You will also support food, water air quality and private water sampling programmes and support emergency incident planning and response.

You will have the opportunity to complete a programme of practical training and development to achieve registration as a qualified Environmental Health Officer.  Progression within the role will be dependent on achievement of qualifications and experience.

What you’ll need:

  • Level 4 Environmental Health qualification or equivalent
  • Knowledge of current legislation relating to Environmental Health
  • Full, valid, driving licence and access to personal transport
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload
