Are you interested in making a difference to your Community? Are you self-motivated and have an adaptable, flexible approach and keen to develop? If YES, then we have an exciting opportunity to join our team.
You will be responsible for the inspection of premises (food safety, health & safety); investigation of food safety, nuisance and health and safety complaints, RIDDOR notifications and infectious disease notifications. You will undertake private water and food sampling. Your role will also include promotion of environmental health including providing training courses and advice to the public and businesses.
We are looking for an individual that can hit the ground running, so a background in food law enforcement or previous experience within a Local Authority EHO Food Safety Role would be advantageous.
What you’ll need:
- A degree in Environmental Health or other relevant qualifications and competency
- EHRB registration
- Knowledge of current legislation relating to Environmental Health
- Full, valid, driving licence and access to personal transport
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload
