A local authority based in Kent is currently looking for a Private Sector Housing Officer to join their established team on an initial 3-6 month contract

Duties will include:

  • Carrying out investigations into poor housing complaints and assessing potential hazards under the HHSRS.
  • Providing quality advice about the statuary requirements to property owners and guidance regarding housing standards and management.
  • Preparing notices and schedules of work necessary to bring properties up to current council standards and taking appropriate enforcement action to secure necessary improvements.
  • HMO Licencing.

The local authority has a well established team and is commutable from London.

The council are hugely flexible so work from home options are available.

Rates will start from £37+ per hour and they would be looking to get someone in mid June.
