Private Sector Housing Officer

A role to see you through the Summer and beyond...

A local authority I am working with based in Kent is looking for a full time Private Sector Housing officer to join their established team on a 3- 6 month contract. 

Duties will include:

• Carrying out investigations into poor housing complaints and assessing potential hazards under the HHSRS.
• Providing quality advice about the statuary requirements to property owners and guidance regarding housing standards and management.
• Preparing notices and schedules of work necessary to bring properties up to current council standards and taking appropriate enforcement action to secure necessary improvements.
• HMO Licencing.

This local authority has a great reputation throughout Environmental Health but especially within their PSH team.

The council are hugely flexible so work from home options are available.

Rates will start from £37+ per hour and they would be looking to get someone in ASAP.
