An exciting opportunity has arisen with our busy Private Housing Environmental Health Team at Hull City Council.
We are looking to recruit a qualified Environmental Health Officer to work within the team with a passion for improving housing conditions. The role will involve working with some of the most vulnerable households within the city to improve their housing conditions. The vacancy is currently within the reactive service request team but officers work flexibly across the reactive and HMO teams.
Working as an Environmental Health Officer in our private sector housing team, you will be responsible for providing an effective and comprehensive, customer-focused service investigating and assessing housing standards; assessing potential hazards under the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS); and bringing empty homes back into use, all in accordance with legislation and agreed service standards.
You will provide support and guidance to enforcement officer working within the team.
