We are:

Geographically, Bromley is London’s largest Borough. We are in south-east London and have an interesting balance between the challenges of inner London and a county district. We have a mix of areas from densely urban areas in the north of the borough, suburban areas and discrete towns, villages, and green belt in our southern areas.

We are committed to achieving equal opportunities in employment and service delivery.

We offer a generous package of workplace benefits including competitive pay, career average pension scheme, flexible working practices and the Bromley staff benefits scheme; Cycle2Work and a wide range of unique discounts.

You are:

Enthusiastic, customer-focused and technically knowledgeable.  You will have excellent problem-solving, research and communication skills, a can-do attitude and (due to the size of the borough) a vehicle available for use at work and an appropriate road license.

As an environmental health practitioner, you will be appropriately qualified with a degree, or diploma, in Environmental Health and/or have local government operational experience in some of the areas of enforcement the team covers. A post graduate Diploma in Acoustics & Noise Control would be a distinct advantage.
