An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Council’s Environmental Protection Team. We are looking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated specialist to lead on the regulation of contaminated land sites, air pollution, air quality, processes under the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2010; to undertake environmental land searches, to investigate statutory nuisances and to comment on planning applications with respect to contaminated land, noise and air.

The role requires excellent communication skills, a flexible approach to work, and a positive solution focused approach to their work.

An environmental science or related degree is essential for this role and it is desirable that you have had industry or public sector experience in a similar role.
The successful applicant will work closely with colleagues across other Council departments and external partner agencies.

The grade at which appointed will depend on experience and qualifications of the  postholder
