Pay Details: Grade 9, SCP 31 – 35, £35,336 - £39,571 p.a.

Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours, Monday - Friday

Main Place of Work: Cardiff

Shared Regulatory Services (SRS) is an innovative collaborative service formed between Bridgend, Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan Councils. The Service delivers a fully integrated service under a single management structure for trading standards, environmental health and licensing functions.

Description:

You will be based within our Cardiff Food and Port Health Team and will have primary responsibility for the enforcement of Environmental Health legislation within the remit of Commercial Services.

Duties will include –

• Inspecting Food Premises
• Investigating Food and Hygiene Complaints
• Responding to Food Alerts and Incidents

You will need:

The right approach and enthusiasm to deliver excellent services and would welcome applications from fully qualified officers in accordance with the Food Law Code of Practice to join our team where you will carry out inspections at food premises, investigate food hygiene complaints and much much more.

The successful candidates will have the ability and drive to provide a customer focused, responsive, risk based, effective and professional service. Key requirements include very effective communication and team working skills, the ability and motivation to solve problems, personal credibility and an approach that builds rapport and confidence from customers.
