37 hours per week.

Wokingham has brought environmental health functions back in-house from April 2022 as part of a new Enforcement & Safety Service. 

We are looking to recruit an experienced Environmental Heath Officer who will be focused on pollution control, complex noise and statutory nuisance cases, planning consultations, contaminated land as well as private sector housing and mobile home licensing. You will be expert in Environmental Protection and competent to undertake Private Sector Housing work as well.

You will no doubt have demonstrable professional competence and you are likely to be qualified in environmental health, acoustic measurement and / or pollution control.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you’ll play an integral role in delivering our local agenda and mentoring other team members. You will have a proven track record of achievement in problem solving, achieving compliance and customer satisfaction, excellent customer engagement experience and communication skills.
