Our local authority clients, based in West London are looking to appoint a Technical Officer who is experienced of working within Food in a local authority setting. This role could also be ideal for those who are looking to work within Port Health as the role is based at the Airport. They are looking for a Technical Officer to join their Imported Food Team. You will be assisting the Environmental Health Officers and Food Safety Officers with checks on:
- Fish and Fishery products (Products of Animal Origin) for human consumption
- Products Not of Animal Origin (PNAO)
- Illegal, Unregulated and Unreported fish controls
- Organic Imports
- Materials in contact with food

In order to be considered, you must at the very least hold an Environmental Health Degree. As this rile is based on shift work, you must be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and participate in shift work involving hours worked at weekends and evenings. You must also hold a current full driving licence to enable you to travel to the different storage facilities and Border Control Posts at the Airport, and throughout the Borough. A full JD and shift pattern is available upon request.

This role will continue for 3 months and will be hourly from £28 P/H.
