Job Details
Our client requires a Community Safety Engagement Manager for an Interim assignment for 3-6 months, possibly longer. Our client is a Local Authority in SW London.
You will provide programme leadership across a range of Community Engagement projects and channels. You will lead on the co-production and engagement with voluntary sector organisations and local residents in designing and delivering an effective response to Community Safety strategies including Youth Violence Reduction and Violence Against Women and Girls.
You will ensure appropriate processes are in place to gather feedback from community engagement channels and feed this into direct action by a range of services and partners. As part of the senior management team you will provide support to the Deputy Leader and Cabinet member for Jobs, Skills and Community Safety engagement with local Communities. You will act as a senior ambassador for the Council in promoting best practice.,
This is a challenging role that requires someone with a proven skill set in this field. Our client would look at those from outside of Local Authority but those who have carried out a similar role within a large local authority would definitely be at an advantage
Good leadership skills are essential and you will need to be someone who can quickly form effective working relationships. You will need to be decisive and clear in your communication and you will need to be capable of formulating effective work plans.
The role will be around £450-£500 per day (inside IR35). A full JD is available.
