Following a restructure in the Public Protection Business Unit, we’re now recruiting for a Environmental Health Technical Officer – Business Compliance to provide technical support and assistant to deliver quality services in both a programmed and responsive way.
You will carry out a wide range of food business inspections and registrations, responding to complaints involving food businesses. Undertake Health and Safety inspections and accident investigations along with carrying out inspections of and assisting in the licensing of animal establishments
Key requirements are two A-Levels or equivalent, including one in a science related subject
and previous experience of dealing with Environmental Health issues within a local Government environment. Working knowledge of all relevant Environmental Health legislation, Codes of Practice and statutory guidance and have experience of working with people and families who have a range of complex needs are essential.
