Following a Business Unit restructure, we are now recruiting for an Environmental Health and Licensing Manager to lead across both environmental and licensing functions.

We are looking to recruit a progressive and experienced manager to oversee teams with the following specialisms: ·business compliance (food hygiene, health and safety, communicable diseases, licensing, safety advisory group operations,) and residential (private housing, caravan sites, housing grants).

Reporting to the Business Manager – Public Protection, you will be our lead professional in the delivery of the environmental health and licensing functions in relation to the regulation of businesses, be pivotal in building, leading and managing the restructured new team. You will also play an integral role in delivering our local objectives and working closely with partners.

Applicants will possess a qualification recognised by the Environmental Health Officers' Registration Board (EHORB), have substantial experience across the core disciplines of housing, food, health and safety and licensing. Extensive experience of dealing with enforcement issues and investigating complaints of breaches of legislation is a must, along with excellent people management and communication skills. Political awareness is also essential.
