Food Safety Inspector

We have a long standing contract with a client in the West Midlands where we typically deliver in excess of 1000 food premises inspections per year.

We are currently helping with their recovery programme and focusing on a large backlog of Unrated premises. We have a few Inspectors working already but we need to add more to the team and ae looking for anyone with any spare capacity over the next few months to carry out some inspections.

We are not necessarily looking for long term commitment nor do we require a regular weekly work pattern. The days, weeks and hours you work will be entirely at your discretion, we will simply allocate a batch of inspections to suit your own circumstances. For anyone wanting a long term assignment we are also able to offer contracts up to the end of May 2021.

We need food competent Environmental Health / Technical Officers with recent experience carrying out food safety intervention work on behalf of local authorities. We will need evidence of your competency and qualifications.

You will focus on delivering the inspection, there will be no admin / data entry involved and any enforcement / closure work will be carried out by Officers from the Council so the work is very straight forward and an excellent way to supplement your income or manage your own schedule if you need flexibility in your work life.

We will pay between £42, £44 and £62 per inspection (D, C and B). The work is outside IR35 for those wishing to work via a Ltd Co.
