Environmental Protection Officer

A new vacancy for an interim EHO specialising in Commercial Pollution control has arisen in Oxfordshire.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced environmental health officer with postgraduate acoustics qualifications. You will be investigating noise and other pollution from commercial premises especially in the entertainment sector, working closely with a pollution enforcement officer and reporting to a principal lead officer.

The project will initially run until 31st March 2022, in line with current budgets, however there is good scope for extension after that.

An acoustics diploma is desirable and considerable experience in, nuisance investigation including noise would be essential.

Field visits in Oxfordshire would be required, sometimes at unsociable hours, however, these visits would be pre-planned and selective.

Whilst an EHO would be preferable, a suitably qualified and experienced Technical/Enforcement Officer would be considered.

This role is open for full or part time. Pay rates £33 - £37 per hour.
