Commercial Environmental Health Team Leader

Our client based in the East of England is looking to appoint a Commercial Environmental Health team Leader whereby you will be responsible for leading the Commercial Environmental Services team, playing a key role in shaping and delivering an exciting agenda. You will be helping coordinate the approach on how they deliver their service throughout the community.

You will be the lead food safety officer to comply with statutory responsibilities and will therefore be Chartered Institute of Environmental health qualified. Site visits are required in a large rural area and so the suitable candidate will need to hold a current driving licence and/or have the ability to travel around the area. In this role you will largely be responsible for risk and enforcement but will be required to get involved with higher level inspections and pitch in where necessary.

For this assignment the client is seeking a leader who will be focused on developing and motivating staff and creating a positive can-do culture. You will be an enthusiastic, confident and solutions focused individual with influencing and problem-solving skills. You will have a flexible approach to work, able to communicate effectively and tactfully with a wide range of people. The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, be organised, with IT skills are all essential.

The salary for this role is £39,800 up to £44,800 based on performance review
