Food, Safety and Licensing Manager

Our client, based in the East of England is presenting a fantastic opportunity for a Food, Safety and Licensing Manager to take up a full time, permanent position with them whereby you would be leading food, safety, and licensing services in their newly structured regulatory service.

You would be working with and reporting to a range of internal and external stakeholders and elected members, this role is focused on protecting the public, helping businesses and other organisations to strengthen their reputation and productivity through good regulatory practice. In so doing, supporting the development of safe communities.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading flexible and multi-disciplined teams, who investigate and enforce a range of legislation across environmental health work with food, occupational health and safety, infectious diseases, and a range of licensed activities. The post holder will oversee highly complex investigations and effectively manage risks, as well as developing and delivering relevant strategies and policies.

This is a strategic role and for this assignment you would ideally be a qualified EHO with experience of not only Food, Safety and Licensing but also of management and what it takes to run and develop a team. You would be expected to develop a healthy culture and build solid personal relationships so you must be a strong communicator and good with working alongside others.

The salary for this role is £45,800pa which could rise to £51,800 based on performance reviews.
