Environmental Protection Officer

One of my clients that is based in Sussex is searching for an ideal candidate to join their outgoing team on an initial 6 month contract, with potential to further extend depending on funding.

What you’ll be doing:

• Reviewing, analysing and commenting on complex planning applications.
• Investigating complaints in relation to statutory nuisances.
• Reviewing industrial complaints.
• General consulting e.g. Licencing.
• Handling accumulations of rubbish.

The hourly rate is negotiable depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will be someone who wants to get involved with the team as they would be expected to be on site 2-3 days a week. You would also require a knowledge in all the above areas, especially planning applications and a minimum 1 year experience in Environmental Protection within a Local Authority.

The manager has expressed that a diploma in acoustics is desirable but not necessary.
