Housing Standards Officer

Salary between £28,368 and £34,041 per annum

Full time – 12 month temporary contract

Based at King’s Court Council Office

We need you to join and support our small Housing Standards team.  You will carry out housing inspections on properties of all types and where needed use appropriate enforcement action for properties in disrepair, overcrowded or with hazards.  You will also assist in the licensing of Houses in Multiple Occupation and residential caravan sites.

Qualified to HND level in a relevant subject, you will have experience of inspections and enforcement with a working knowledge of current housing related legislation. You will be able to effectively and efficiently manage a diverse caseload with minimum supervision and have excellent communication and negotiation skills.

This appointment will be made subject to a satisfactory enhanced criminal record check through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
