SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICER
Salary: up to £36,922 per annum plus Essential car allowance (up to £1, 239 pa) and annual premia payment of £3,500
If you relish the challenge of working in a fast-paced Housing Standards Team and have a passion to improve property, help tenants, and work with landlords to achieve high standards, we have a vacancy for a fully qualified Senior Environmental Health Officer/Practitioner.
Chichester is a thriving University City close to miles of beautiful coastline, sweeping South Downs and vibrant market towns – making this a great place to live, work and play.
We operate a highly successful Landlord Accreditation Scheme, working closely with property owners to improve the quality of privately let houses, including houses in multiple occupation, throughout our district.
Moving forward we want to build on our achievements and are looking for a highly motivated, experienced, enthusiastic and professional individual to help us bring about further improvement within the private rented sector. The role will be responsible for responding to tenant complaints and using enforcement action as required.
A degree in Environmental Health or equivalent is essential along with membership of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
The Council promotes a good work-life balance and offers flexible working patterns with the ability to work from home as well as from the office. There is also the option to buy additional annual leave. You will also benefit from an essential car user allowance; subsidised sports facilities and opportunities for further training.
Closing date: 17 December 2021
