Undertake investigations into statutory nuisance and a range of other public health functions in both domestic and commercial premises and take appropriate informal or formal action. The post holder will also be responsible for a varied work load to include assessing planning and licensing application, inspection and administration work relating to permitted processes and the completion private water supply duties.

Brighter Future

You will be undertaking the range of functions carried out by the Environmental Protection Team and should have experience of conducting inspections and investigations across a range of activities. You must be able to interpret and implement key legislation and work with partner agencies.

You should have a degree in Environmental Health degree or a relevant environment related degree pertaining to the area of work for the Environmental Health Officer position and for the Technical Officer post a qualification or experience relating to this area of work.  You must be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, have excellent communication skills and able to prioritise conflicting demands.
