Senior Licensing Officer

Our client in North London is looking to appoint a Senior Licensing Enforcement Officer on a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.

As the lead officer for all work associated with the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005 you will undertake inspections; project work; investigate and respond to complaints and take enforcement action under relevant licensing legislation.

You will also be responsible for responding to licence application consultations, and where appropriate, making representations. You will undertake mediation on representations, and when required, will present representations or review applications by attending Licensing Sub Committee hearings.

You must have significant, working experience and be competent in relation to the Licensing Act and Gambling Act. It would be desirable if you have experience of massage and special treatment licensing in accordance with the London Local Authorities Act, and also smoke-free legislation under the Health Act 2006.

You must have a current valid driving licence with access to a car to travel around the Borough.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team within a London based local authority. The salary for this role is £34K-£38K along with other benefits that come with taking a permanent position. This is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months.
