Environmental Health & Housing Senior Manager
Allerdale Borough Council, Cumbria
Salary: £42,821.00 - £43,857.00 per annum
Benefits: 25 days holiday, rising to 28 after 2 years and 31 after 5 years plus bank holidays, flexi-time – no set start and finish times, generous Local Government Pension Scheme and a range of wellbeing benefits – plus you’ll be working for a great team!!
Hours: 37 per week – flexi-time
Location: Base of work in Workington, however time spent will be between in the community, office and home

We have an exciting opportunity to join our forward thinking and innovative council supporting the borough of Allerdale as a Senior Manager for Environmental Health and Housing.
Key duties of the post will include:
- To lead the professional enforcement groupings contained within the Environmental Health Team, including Housing, Food & Occupational Health and Environmental Protection.
- To develop and coordinate the development and effective implementation of strategies and policies relevant to the role.
- To performance manage the team to ensure that all agreed targets are delivered across the area of responsibility.
- To develop and promote integrated working both across the specified teams but also within a multi-agency setting, to effectively target high risk activities across Allerdale.
- To effectively manage the budgets across the areas of responsibility.
- To create and manage integrated teams who provide high quality services across a range of professional disciplines.
