Job Details

Our local authority client, based in London are looking to appoint an experienced EH housing officer with experience in dealing with Private Sector Housing disrepair and enforcement cases. Primarily this role is to respond to, investigate and resolve complaints regarding poor housing conditions in the private sector in the Borough. You will also have the opportunity to undertake the inspection of HMO's and processing of HMO licence applications, draft licence conditions and where appropriate take enforcement action for breaches. Experience in dealing with section 257 HMOs an advantage.

In order to be considered you must hold the HHSRS certificate and have experience in the preparation and serving of legal notices.

The client allows a flexible working pattern and can accommodate home working. The role will require carrying out physical inspections on site (around 3 days a week but may vary dependent on service need) and you may need to come into the borough at short notice.

This contract will run until the end of March 2022 and will be above £34 per hour.
