SENIOR / ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICER
£26,511 - £36,922 per annum*
plus Essential Car User Allowance
37 hours per week

Due to an internal promotion, an opportunity has arisen for a Senior / Environmental Health Officer to work in our environmental health team. This challenging and stimulating department deals with a variety of environmental health work including Food Safety, Health & Safety, Enviro-crime, Noise, Public Health and Housing matters.
With a BSc in Environmental Health or equivalent and an EHORB certificate of registration (or working towards) you will ideally also have at least 1 years experience of working in an environmental health role however applications from newly qualified officers will also be considered. Knowledge of current food hygiene legislation and supporting guidance is essential, even if you are not currently a food competent Officer.

The Main Council Offices are in Narborough in Leicestershire which is just 3 miles from the M1, junction 21 and not far from the centre of Leicester. The local train station is only a 5 minutes walk away and there are regular bus links to and from the city centre.
