Wirral is currently experiencing a high demand for adaptations in the home and therefore this newly created post will be essential for ensuring that processes and procedures are fit for purpose to manage applications for major adaptations efficiently and within set timescales, and that the customer is offered an excellent service. 

You will have a thorough knowledge of legislation, emerging guidance, and best practice for delivering Disabled Facilities Grants and be keen to drive improvements within the service. The post holder will want to establish a rigorous performance management framework to monitor works, ensure contactors are working to a high standard, resolving complaints and ensuring that clients are fully informed about likely timescales for works to be completed as well as being satisfied by the service offered.

We are looking for someone with experience of building partnerships and excellent services for vulnerable client groups as well as a sound knowledge of building construction.    Above all you will be looking to improve the way we engage with our customers to ensure they are at the heart of everything we do.

This position will initially, in line with current government guidance be based from home.  In future, the Council will be moving to a hybrid of working arrangements for many of our roles with a combination of homeworking, office and site working as required.
