NORTH WEST LEICESTERSHIRE
Environmental Health Officer
36.25 hours per week
Band F+ 2 market supplements, £32,234 - £35,745
North West Leicestershire sits in a central part of the country and is served by an excellent road network, including the M1, M42 and A50, making it easily commutable from all surrounding areas. Half the district is covered by The National Forest making it a very desirable location to both live and work. The council benefits from being well managed financially and from having a coaching culture; underlining the people focus and an agile/flexible approach to work with many staff working the majority of their time from home.
Working within the safety team, you will get the opportunity to undertake the rich variety of food, public health, and health and safety duties, as well as undertaking imported food related work at East Midlands airport. In addition, you will be part of the team that ensures our many events and festivals, such as Download at Donington Park, attracting tens of thousands of people every year, run smoothly and safely. We have a Primary Authority partnership in place with HMS Host UK Ltd and are keen to develop more.
Applications are welcomed from qualified Environmental Health Officers who are either seeking a fresh challenge or to further their career. Ideally, we are looking for prior relevant experience, however consideration will be given to candidates that demonstrate the right skill set. In return we offer a friendly, supportive work environment with opportunities for further training and development.
