Duties:

Dartford is a diverse and exciting place to work with excellent opportunities created by a challenging and varied workload.  This is a role for someone that likes to problem solve and takes pride in protecting the environment and public health.

We are looking for a professional, competent and enthusiastic Environmental Protection Officer who is able to manage a demanding and varied caseload. You will be joining a friendly, busy and professional team.

You will have a thorough understanding of complaint investigation processes, for both anti-social behaviour and statutory nuisance legislation. You will be providing expert advice and guidance throughout the organisation, including comments on planning

Our ideal candidate will be ideally experienced in working within local government or an enforcement environment. With a desire to provide the best possible customer service, you will be able to work with minimum supervision and keen to contribute proactively to the strong team-working ethos. An ability to keep accurate records and be able to produce reports, gather legal evidence and produce legal case files is essential.

Applicants will have a Scientific based Honours Degree or Higher Qualification relevant to Environmental Health. Additional, technical qualifications are an advantage especially within the field of acoustics and noise control.

Driving license and own vehicle essential.

37 hours per week, Monday- Friday, flexi time and hybrid working available. Free parking.
