Reporting to the Head of Planning & Regulatory Services, as Environmental Health & Public Protection Manager you will lead and undertake the day-to-day management of the core service areas including Licensing, Environmental Protection, Food Safety, Private Sector Housing and Commercial & Corporate Health & Safety amongst other related services. This role provides the platform for your expertise to guide the council, the Executive and it’s Committees on these critical issues, all of which have a direct impact on the community.
You will be Degree level (Environmental Health or associated subject) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. You will bring your knowledge and understanding of the specialisms in the service area, along with your experience of delivering significant front line services in a managerial role. Ideally you will also have a strong understanding of local government.
