Our client in South Wales is looking to appoint a Port Health Support officer to assist the councils Porth Health Officers in a largley administrative capacity.
You will be right on the front line as the country adapts to the changes brought about through Brexit and as such you will have the chance to take up a unique role with excellent career prospects.
You will assist with carrying out document checks and processing inspections as required. You will be required to maintain stock levels of equipment and you will help organise the storage and dispatch of samples taken from inbound goods. A key responsibility will be the accurate recording of data.
Ideally, the post holder will already be participating in the attainment of a formal qualification such as:
Higher Certificate in Food Control, or a Trading Standards qualification delivered through the Trading Standards Qualifications Framework, or another "recognised certificate" in environmental protection, occupational health and safety, or public health.
The roles might also be suited to those from an Office Management or a Logistics Admin background, so long as you have had some training or practical experience in Food Control, public health, health and safety. We are looking for those with a minimum Level 3 qualification e.g. BTEC, or 2 A levels, NVQ3 or equivalent.
This assignment is for an ititial 3 month period with the chance of an extension thereafter and the pay rate is £20-£25/hour umbrella
