Senior Public Health Principal

Our client in the South East is looking for a Senior Public Health Specialist to join the team there and to support the staff resilience within the public health team and with a remit for domestic abuse (non-COVID-19).

As well as strong leadership skills and experience in this portfolio, the post holder will apply public health expertise and manage a portfolio of work with a specific focus on Domestic Abuse which aims to keep the population safe, improve their health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities.

This role involves working in partnership across the county to deliver the local strategic objectives and meet the requirements of the Domestic Abuse Act. The client is looking for a positive attitude and the ability to cope with multiple and changing demands. You will be able to work flexibly and autonomously. You will be a clear communicator and able to take people with you to effect change.

For this assignment you must be educated to degree level and at least 3 years professional experience working within Public Health, or equivalent professional experience in a health improvement related setting. Demonstrable evidence of continuing professional development.

You must also have experience of working in domestic abuse roles in the health service/Local authority/Voluntary sector setting.

This contract for this role is for 6 months with a likely extension thereafter. The role can be carried out remotely and the pay rate is £350 - £400/day umbrella
