Hours: 37 hours a week

Salary: Grade 7, £33,782 - £37,890 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Appointment subject to a satisfactory Standard DBS check.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Environmental Health Officer to support the Council’s Environmental Health Team. 

We are seeking applications from officers who are qualified and competent to undertake Official Controls as part of a team. Responsibilities will include dealing with food safety legislation in all applicable premises, including the issuing of food hygiene ratings and regulation of Approved Premises. You will also be responsible for investigating service requests relating to the above service areas, and determining the appropriate level of action required. Additional areas of work will involve infectious disease control – conducting investigations and implementing regulatory powers to prevent the spread of the infection; and carry out health and safety interventions.
