This is the perfect opportunity for a recent Enviro Health grad to kick start their career with a role working on a flagship project in the UK. The roles are based in Kent, South East England. The client is offering a 2 year fixed term contract with the option of a permanant role.

Our client is currently setting up a major UK border control facility, working in conjunction with DEFRA. They are looking to recruit around 60 staff purely to focus on port health work and are keen to secure those with enviro health qualifications.

As a Port Health Support Assistant you will work alongside senior Officers carrying out checks on imports of products of animal origin and high risk food not of animal origin. You will be involved with checks on organic food, illegal unreported and unregulated fishing, animal composites and other relevant controlled goods. On a daily basis you will carry out document checks, serving to protect public health by applying port health controls on imports in accordance with relevant statutory provisions, rules and international trading standards.

You will be right on the front line as the country adapts to the changes brought about through Brexit and as such you will have the chance to take up a unique role with excellent career prospects

The salary will be £23,607 -£25,803 +14% shift allowance payment.
