Food Safety Manager
Full time permanent – 36 hours per week
Salary range £39,000 to £47,000

Bromley’s Food Safety Team is part of a larger group of Regulatory Services within the Public Protection Division of Environmental Services, all co-located at Bromley Civic Centre, close to the Bromley town centre. With over 2400 food businesses we are a small, busy team.
We are looking for someone who will provide leadership, excellent problem solving skills and day to day management and supervision of the Food Safety Team ensuring that they meet the Council’s statutory duties and deliver our key priorities.
You will provide leadership, direction and day to day management and supervision for the team ensuring that they meet the Council’s statutory duties.
You will be a qualified Environmental Health Officer with a certificate registration from the Environmental Health Officers registration board in environmental health meet the competencies set out for the Food Law Code of Practice for a Lead Food Officer for food hygiene and food standards.
Finally, the Council has four key behaviours that form the core of our competency framework for managers and employees: these being:

You will need to demonstrate values, behaviours and competencies commensurate with your grade and that reflect the ambitions of the Council. The framework is attached as part of the candidates pack.
